Why would you need veneers?

If your own teeth have large fillings, or gaps, or are damaged/discoloured in any way , then veneers can be used to mask your own underlying tooth and improve your smile. What are traditional ceramic or porcelain veneers?

This is where a false nail of porcelain is placed on top of your own natural tooth. They are made of ultra strong porcelain or ceramic materials and are chip and stain resistant.

How do we prepare your tooth for traditional veneers?

Usually a very thin layer of enamel is removed in order to make space for the veneer. A temporary veneer is placed for approximately 1 week when your new veneer is being made by our lab technician. Ceramic veneers can last 10-15 years if you look after them well . If you grind your teeth, you need to wear a grinding guard to bed to protect your veneers from chipping at night. Composite Veneers – Same Day Veneers

Composite veneers are less expensive than porcelain veneers but they don’t last as long and typically need to be replaced every 4-6 years.
